Originally attempted back in 2015, Blackwing’s early take on the sunburst finish was ambitious. This time around, with a decade of refinement behind them, they’ve nailed it. Each pencil features a rich sunburst gradient: a deep black end fading through transparent lacquer to reveal the warm, natural wood grain beneath — a visual echo of Fender’s iconic guitar finish.
Finished with a crisp white Blackwing x Fender Stratocaster imprint, silver ferrule, and balanced graphite core, these pencils offer smooth performance with a distinctly rock ‘n’ roll edge. Whether you’re jotting lyrics or sketching solos, they’re made to strike the right chord.
